Overview
Prostate cancer can be a life-changing event...for the patient and his partner, both emotionally and physically. Two possible physical results of prostate surgery may be incontinence (loss of bladder control) and impotence (more properly known as erectile dysfunction or ED).

While it is possible these problems might resolve themselves over time, it is important to see a urologist as soon as you notice a problem. Today there are ways to treat both urinary incontinence and ED. A urologist can help you determine which treatment options may be right for you.
