The patented TherMatrx® system is a computer-controlled thermotherapy treatment device that delivers microwave energy to the prostate for the treatment of symptoms associated with BPH.

The system is comprised of two components: the mobile, stand-alone TMX3000 operator console with touch-screen capability and the single-use Rx-200 Treatment Catheter that delivers microwave energy to the prostate. The system monitors all treatment parameters and automatically adjusts the microwave energy as needed to achieve and maintain thermo-therapeutic temperatures for the duration of the treatment.

• Clinically Proven Optimized Dose of Heat - Treatment parameters, including microwave energy output, urethral and rectal temperatures, and treatment time, are continuously monitored by the TMX3000. The power output level is controlled by the computer, based on pre-defined treatment parameters that have been shown to provide a safe and effective treatment. The TMX3000 offers three protocol selections, ranging from 38-62 minutes.
• Four Treatment Coil Lengths - The Rx-200 Treatment Catheter is available in four heating lengths: 2.0 cm, 2.5 cm, 3.5 cm and 4.5 cm. The four antennae lengths make it possible to target treatment heat to the prostatic urethral area between the verumontanum and bladder neck. The antenna is positioned 5 mm below the balloon to ensure precise and consistent positioning within the targeted prostatic tissue.
